Privacy

RentCalc has no accounts, no sign-up and no database. Here's everything that happens with your data.

Calculations

Every calculator runs entirely in your browser. The numbers you type are not sent to us.

Saved inputs (localStorage)

So you don't have to retype everything, each calculator remembers its last inputs in your browser's localStorage, under keys starting with rc:. They stay on your device and are never transmitted. You can clear them here at any time:

AI letter drafting

If you press "Draft my letter" on the rent increase letter page, the details in that form (names, address, amounts, dates and the optional reason) are sent to our server and passed to an AI model through Vercel AI Gateway to write the draft. We don't store them. Leave the name and address fields blank if you'd rather fill them in yourself afterwards. Nothing is sent unless you press the button.

Analytics

We use Ahrefs Web Analytics to count page views. It is cookieless and does not collect personal information.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and request time) for security and operations.
